The Gem Project Partners with MG Oania Photography to bring:
Traveling Exhibit & Awareness Showcase: Define Real Beauty Campaign
About Our Awareness Showcase:
The Gem Project awareness showcase or “traveling exhibit” of photography illustrates issues of our community. It travels to different academic institutions, galleries, and other venues for up to one week at a time. Our goal is our motto, “we captivate to educate.”
In partnership with notable lifestyle and fashion NYC based photographer, MG Oania, the Gem Project presents the Define Real Beauty Campaign.
The Gem Project is a not-for-profit organization that educates youth and young adults about important issues that are affecting them or their community.
We’re casting everyday people for a creative photo shoot, which will produce a photo essay that will explore the spectrum of beauty. We’re casting youth, young adults, and the elderly. It will unearth what it truly means to be beautiful. Is our nation dying to be beautiful? Are we all beautiful in our own skin? Is my beauty the same as your beauty?
The actual showcase will start to tour November 1, 2011.
Several Dates in August 2011
Submit: One headshot (does not have to be professional)
One full body shot
Contact Information: Name, Phone Number, Location
Due to the demand for this particular casting, recruiters will only contact prospects that they’re interested in. They thank you in advance! The creative team that’s involved in this selection will use their best judgment as we put together this shoot in August.
