THE ISSUE
§ Among 22 countries, the U.S. is in 17th place for female labor participation.

§ The National Center for Education Statistics says female high school students are now more likely to aspire to attend college than are their male counterparts, and the young women who enroll in college graduate at higher rates as well.

§ Women are earning more doctorates than men. Yet, women hold just one percent of the world’s wealth.

§ Out of 197 heads of state around the world, only 22 are women.

THE CONVERSATION
“While women used to think that they needed to emulate men to rise into leadership positions, today the story is different. And while we used to think that we needed to deny our feminine nature in order to make it in a “man’s world,” this is also no longer the case.”(via 10 Rules for Emerging Women Leaders)
